Welcome to the Third Issue of our UK Magazine

As the seasons turn once again, I find myself marvelling at how quickly time passes. It feels as though I was just welcoming you to our last magazine, and now, here we are with a new one to share.

I am immensely proud of the exciting transformations we’ve been making to our beautiful gardens. Together with our CEO, Ignace, and a talented team of creative individuals who share our passion for the land, we have been working to further enhance the magic of our outdoor spaces. Whether strolling through the green wonders of the New Forest at Rhinefield or unwinding amidst the rare plants at Fermain Valley in Guernsey, we hope you find even more reasons to lose yourself in nature’s serenity. Caroline Scaramanga, our Director of Gardens, offers expert advice on bringing a touch of the outdoors into your home, along with fascinating woodland insights on page 60.

Of course, no visit to our hotels would be complete without indulging in the finest culinary delights. Be sure to try our chef’s delightful pheasant recipe and our signature cocktail of the season, Autumn Bloom; both are perfect for recreating at home or enjoying in our restaurants and bars.

Supporting Charity has always been important to Hand Picked. This issue features an inspiring story from actress Emilia Clarke and her mother, Jenny, as they share the journey behind their charity dedicated to supporting those affected by brain injuries; a truly moving read.

Finally, as a quintessentially British group, we take great pride in our sporting traditions. We were thrilled to host the Southern Vipers women’s cricket team at Buxted Park this summer, and our interview with Captain Georgia Adams offers a charming glimpse into how this beloved sport continues to evolve, while honouring its roots.

I hope your time with us is as memorable and enjoyable as theirs was.
